How job hunting in Abu Dhabi differs from Dubai.
Abu Dhabi is the UAE's capital and its largest emirate. Government entities and government-linked companies are a bigger share of the job market than in Dubai, alongside energy, banking, construction, logistics, healthcare and education. Private-sector hiring is spread between the city itself, the industrial belt around Mussafah and Khalifa Port, the free zones, and Al Ain, the emirate's second city.
The practical difference for candidates is location. Abu Dhabi employers want to know where you live and how you will get to work, so state it in your profile — especially if you are based in Dubai or Sharjah and plan to commute or relocate.

Jobs in Abu Dhabi FAQ
How do I apply for jobs in Abu Dhabi on JobFlick?
Open any Abu Dhabi role listed on this page to read the full description, then create a free candidate profile and apply with your profile and a 60-second video resume. Applying is free for job seekers.
Do I need a visa to work in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Abu Dhabi follows the same federal UAE rules as the other emirates: you need a UAE residence visa and a work permit, which your employer normally arranges when it hires you. Free zone employers issue permits through their free zone authority.
Can I live in Dubai and work in Abu Dhabi?
Many people do, but it is a long commute: the two city centres are roughly 140 km apart, about 1.5 hours each way by car on the E11. Say clearly in your profile where you live and whether you would relocate, because Abu Dhabi employers often ask.
Does an Abu Dhabi employer have to provide health insurance?
Yes. Under Abu Dhabi's health insurance law, employers in the emirate must provide health insurance for their employees, so check that the offer you receive includes it.
Are Al Ain jobs included on this page?
Yes. Al Ain is part of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, so roles posted in Al Ain appear in the Abu Dhabi list alongside roles in Abu Dhabi city, Mussafah, Khalifa City and the islands.
